Coming soon, ADBC #3: W.G. Sebald’s Austerlitz with special guest Mark Lamster

Date and location to be announced soon, but get started on Austerlitz by W.G. Sebald, the subject of ADBC’s next meet-up. Joining us to lead the discussion will be author Mark Lamster, a contributor to Design Observer and author of Master of Shadows as well as a forthcoming biography of the architect Philip Johnson.

ADBC, the Architecture and Design Book Club, is an informal event held in public spaces in and around New York City. With book selections ranging from Edith Wharton to science fiction, we focus on how design figures into and suggests new readings of a text. Each meeting features a leading thinker/critic as a special guest discussant. We invite everyone—experts and passers-by alike—to drop by and join us for an hour of conversation and debate.
